…and now he is ONE!!

So, I think that quite possibly my favoritest thing about my job is that I get to play witness to time….the changes that we human beings go through in the first year of our lives are pretty much mindblowing, and this little guy is no exception. I photographed him in his mama’s tummy, at 12 days old, and then at 7 months….and now he is one!! Like I said…it pretty much blows my mind.

The only at-home shots we did were to catch him standing in his crib (he’ll be in a big boy bed by the time our next session comes around…crazy, I tell you!), and then we headed out to the park. I had a blast, and I’m pretty sure they did too. :-)

Toddler sessions are a totally different ballgame from newborn and baby sessions…the energy is phenomenal, and toddlers Have Their Own Agendas (capitalization imperative), and it’s really about getting them in a great spot and then going with the flow. It’s super challenging, and super rewarding, and I LOVE it! The personality, the joy, the will, and exuberance….just blow me away. Seriously.

There were bubbles and stories…

…lots of smoochies…

…fun with tanbark…

…and just a general boatload of awesomeness…

This little man is going to break some hearts…lemme tell you!!

I am in love with his lashes, and his little starfish hands!!
