What I loved about this session:

The moment when real smiles broke through the “cheese”
Home-made yogurt pops (for me too! ;-)
The lightbox “play-studio” we made on the porch.
Mama’s mad sewing skills (she made the toddler jumper!)
Nursing pictures (not shared, but ooooh, they were awesome! :-)

Their house had amazing light and color everywhere:

then we went for a walk to the library and the park (and ate some toddler toes, because I’m all about the cannibalism when babies are this cute and giggly ;-):

…and, of course, we had to do some swing shots (I mean, this is *me* we’re talking about ;-): 

…and then we finished up with some snuggles on the grass (and I made papa pose for a funky ladder shot, because that’s how I roll ;-):

So I make no secret of the fact that I FLIPPING adore bubbles.

I don’t just like them.

Not even “like” like them.

No.

I L.O.V.E. them!!

So when OoMVFF (that would be the dorkbreviation for “one of my very favorite families” complied with my suggestion that they bring bubbles to the evening portion of our session…well…I was more than a little bit stoked. Thrilled. over the moon…insert additional superlative here…you name it. and here is the awesomeness that ensued:

I am so very very blessed.

Time passes so so SO fast. Too fast.

I have photographed this sweet family twice before, at 6 months and 1 year, and this mini session was actually a continuation of their one year session (we got rained out for the park portion)…we kept trying to reschedule, and finally managed to meet up this last Thursday for a little wander around Stanford. It amazes me how much this little man has changed in just a few short months…he is running and all about motion and exploration, and his hair is sooooo gorgeously long!

Thank you, again, for being such awesome subjects – I had an amazing time, and can’t wait to share the rest of your images!

It seems like every time I write a new sneak peek post, I find myself reflecting on gratitude. I get to witness some of the most intimate moments of a family’s life…I spend hours with parents and newborns, just when they’re getting to know one another. And I get to create art out of their love, which is already so strong, it makes my heart go pop.

This family was no exception….and I don’t think I need any more words…except maybe these:

Just wanted to share a few more from my amazing twin session – I am so so lucky to be able to do what I do!! I photographed their big brother when he was in mama’s tummy (you can see her up top on my blog header :-) and when he was a newborn…and now, at two, he has such fabulous energy!!

Grandpa still has the magic touch with the babies:

…and I leave you with a baby yawn and stretch…there are few things sweeter. These last two shots just make my day.  Seriously.

These sweet, sleepy little guys were a joy to photograph – they were my first set of newborn twins! I’m editing their session today and tomorrow and will do a full peek when it’s done, but wanted to share this one, ’cause it’s just ridiculously sweet. :-)
