Dispatches From The Pumpkin Patch
October 14, 2008 | Filed Under life | 1 Comment

There’s something extra special about a pumpkin patch. I’m talking about a real patch – the kind with vines, and pumpkins that you actually have to cut loose, sometimes, with a pair of clippers. You feel a truly immediate connection to the thing that grew out of the earth, fed by the light of the sun and the love of a farmer….and creating portraits in a pumpkin patch? Well, that’s like icing on a cake.
I posted earlier about how much I enjoy volunteering at Full Circle Farm, and that I really hoped that I would get to share my love of the farm and our first pumpkin patch with some of my babymoon friends, and I did….and now, I’ve gotten to share a few of my favorite shots from the day, full circle (again, sorry for the pun :-), with my readers…thank you all for coming out to support Full Circle Farm!!

Need A Pumpkin?

Hi gang,
Most of you know that I’m an active volunteer for Full Circle Farm in Sunnyvale…I thought those of you who are local readers would like to know that the farm is having a u-pick pumpkin day tomorrow (Wed, 10/8/08) from 2:30pm to dark…you can bring yourself and your little ones out to our field and have the amazing experience of picking your very own pumpkin right off the vine!
We’ll also be offering u-pick tomatoes, so if you’ve been wanting to put up some sauce for the winter, you can come by and harvest your very own.
I will be there for at least part of the afternoon, and would love to say hello to some of my wonderful friends from babymoon! :-)

Lilia
