My contest is done, and first off, I have to say that I am so very very full of gratitude for the love and generosity of my community. Like many other photographers participating for the first time, I really wasn’t sure what sort of response I was going to get, and while I received many emails from people saying that they thought the contest was wonderful, I received 3 entries total for the contest itself…and I had such a difficult time choosing!!
I would like to thank Andrea, Lisa, and Pam for your kind and generous spirits, and would like to tell Pam that she has nominated the winning family. I would have loved to do full sessions for all three families, but I just don’t have the bandwidth in my workflow to take that on, and so I hope that everyone will understand. For Andrea and Lisa, I will be in touch as well – I would like to offer mini sessions to the families you nominated, to include up to 1 hour of my time and a CD with 5-10 images, as well as a set of 5×7 prints.
To my friends, clients, and readers, I hope you all have a wonderful time with your sweeties. I am so very very grateful for the love and light that I have received this holiday season.

Oh, my friends, we are almost there….Hannukah has started, Christmas is coming…and the seasons are turning. There is just one day left for you to nominate an amazing, awesome family to receive a gift from me…please think of the people in your life who blow you away: who do amazing things for their community, love their children, and are giving of spirit…I want to hear their stories, and give them a gift of my art. Melissa is the amazing, wonderful, marvelous assistant garden manager at Full Circle Farm, and I absolutely adore photographing her girls, so when she asked me to do some holiday pictures, you can bet I was excited!! We met up at my favorite coffee shop, and then headed out to an empty field just down the way. The whole afternoon was a huge amount of fun, and I can’t wait to do it again!

I am sooooo lucky: I got to snuggle this sweet creature today…and she is completely amazing!! She’s just 2 days old, and already lifting her head. She has two sweet little starfish hands, and was just as sleepy as can be. What a joy…. :-)
