The following paragraphs cover some basic questions about my sessions, and after you book, my welcome packet will provide guidance on how to prepare (including everyone's favorite question: "what do we wear?!"). what are child/family sessions like? My sessions are a lot of fun - they're a lot like playdates! They generally run 2-5 hours, and can take place both in your home and at a mutually agreed-upon location, such as a favorite park or the beach. I only schedule one session per day, so my time with your family is never rushed. If your child needs to take a break to nurse or have a snack, or even nap and try again later, it will not be a problem. After you've read through my welcome packet, we'll schelule a call to talk about your vision for the session - basically, what type of images you are hoping to have, and how we might go about creating them. Do you want to go to a carnival, or wander in a blooming orchard? Do you want to blow bubbles at the park, or go bowling? Do you want to snuggle and read a story, and then have a pillow fight? My primary goal as your custom photographer is to create art that realizes your vision while capturing the essence of your everyday experience of your child. what about maternity/newborn sessions? Maternity sessions are truly an honor and a joy! I love to help women celebrate the amazing beauty of the work their bodies are doing. Maternity sessions generally encompass two mini-sessions in one day - the first, a morning session at home, to capture belly details with some fun and classic poses. We reconvene toward sunset of the same day to do an outdoor mini-session that feels very much like taking wedding engagement photos. The pregnancy session should be scheduled in your last trimester, and the newborn session when your baby is under 2 weeks of age. Included in all newborn sessions is your choice of 3 custom birth announcement designs. Partners and siblings are welcome at both sessions. Please note that, because I am protective of my clients' privacy, a portion of my maternity portfolio is not available online. Please contact me to make an in-person viewing appointment. location location location I serve clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. A $50 travel fee may apply for sessions located more than 30 miles from Mountain View. I am also available to travel worldwide, so if you'd like me to come to your city, please fill out my contact form , and I will add you to my interest list for travel sessions. Travel locations are based on interest (I require a minimum of 4 bookings per city), so if you want me to come visit you, speak up, and tell your friends too! :-) session deposit I require a non-refundable $150 deposit within 5 days of scheduling. This deposit will be applied toward your package purchase. Your session fee is due in full at the time of your session. Please note that your date will not be held if I have not received payment. If you need to cancel our session due to illness or other circumstances, I am happy to apply the fee to a rescheduled session date. |
